The first time we heard about Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and Electronic Arts' newest offering, Battlefield Heroes, was when EA revealed its plans for the Play 4 Free business model. Today, we've got something that might lure you into checking out this upcoming cartoon shooter: eye-candy in the form of screenshots and a trailer.

In case you've been living under a rock, Battlefield Heroes sports a cartoony art style and quirky gameplay as well. From what we can see from the screenshots, players will be able to choose between two factions, the National Army and the Royal Army. The trailer is funny and pretty informative about the game's mechanics (matchmaking, vehicles, and special abilities, among other things).

Anyway, we'll quit yapping and leave you to watch the video and check out the screenshots. Battlefield Heroes is scheduled for deployment sometime this year.
