Fallout 3 - Image 1Last week at E3 unveiled, among many other intriguing things, the exclusive downloadable content for Bethesda's Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 and the PC. But where oh where was PS3's slice of the pie?

Nowhere in sight, you get it right. Lazard Capital Market's analyst Colin Sebastian smartly observes and posits that it could be that Microsoft paid a big lot to Bethesda so that the PS3 won't get a share in the DLC.

I think it's a very good possibility that Microsoft and Bethesda were partners in this decision. Obviously, Microsoft paid up to secure exclusive online content for GTA IV, and online is a cornerstone for Microsoft's digital media strategy.

Despite this obvious speculation, however, Bethesda remains mum on what really led them to award exclusively the Fallout 3 DLC to the Microsoft platforms. "We aren't going to get into the details of the hows and whys," Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines said via email. Further more, there will be no "other qualifiers or clarifications as it relates to the other platforms."

Bethesda's Fallout 3 will be coming out on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this fall.
