Joystiq is reporting that there will be a BioShock novel, thanks to the collaboration of Take-Two Interactive and sci-fi/ fantaasy publisher Tor. According to their scoop, the novel will consist of 400 pages, and will come out in both hard and softcovers.

Hai, I like books.

Penning the novel is Ken Levine, although we wouldn't set that in stone yet. Apart from that, a window for release has been set for Fall of this year. Considering that that just around the corner, and that the author still isn't even set, we're keeping our doubting hat on for that one.

We're also not sure if this would be the same BioShock novel announced by Bantam in October of last year, where the story will follow Big Daddy's perspective.

Actually, nothing is official-official yet at the moment, and as we've yet to hear any actual confirmation from any of the parties involved, we'll just keep a keen watch on this and update you as soon as there's any development.
