We all know that the StarCraft II beta is all set to run this summer, although we do not know a specific date for it yet. Now thanks to an email sent out by Blizzard this weekend, we now know that it's near -- very near.

The email invited media folks to set up accounts over at Battle.net in prep for the beta run. Still, however, there was no date specified to determine the actual starting date of the beta, nor was there any word as to the chances of the public gaming populace participating in the said event.
