An interesting trademark filing which hints at an upcoming video game with a funny title has been unearthed. According to a file on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (UPSTO) website, Capcom wants to secure the "Spyborgs" trademark.

No specifics were mentioned, but Capcom made sure to cover a lot of ground when it sent the filing to the UPSTO back in April 7, 2008. Spyborg is to be associated with computer game software, storage devices such as cartridges and DVDs, and downloadable games to name a few.

Furthermore, Capcom requests Spyborg be trademarked for music, animated cartoons, action/adventure movies, and even downloadable software for mobile phones such as ring tones and screen savers. The company also reportedly registered the spyborgs.com domain since March earlier this year, but there are no pertinent details on the site.

While it could be just a single game title because its trademark filing isn't that much different from other similar products, we can't help but wonder how far Capcom plans to take something such as "Spyborg." A cyborg spy sounds novel to say the least, and we can't wait to see how it will be like.
