Turning Point: Fall of Liberty - Image 1Publisher Codemasters has announced a nice pre-order deal for Spark Unlimited's upcoming FPS, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (PC, PS3, Xbox 360). If you reserve your copy of the alternate-history shooter, you'll be assured a copy come release date along with cool freebies.

GameStop, GameCrazy, Blockbuster (Game Rush) US and other key Codemasters retail partners are all in on this promo, so finding a store that has it going on should be easy.

The Turning Point: Fall of Liberty goodie bag  includes war propaganda post cards featuring art from the game, exclusive access codes to enhance the game experience, a DVD with behind-the-scenes video features, concept art and gameplay footage, and a 1931-53 timeline poster, which fictionalizes the alternate WWII events that lead to the game's opening moments.

This shooter, as you may guess, is a story-driven one which features a lot of intriguing scenarios. It explores the prospect of the Allies losing the war in Europe and the Nazis attacking the American heartland. The opening sequence looks awesome with German assault blimps, bombers, and paratroopers filling a 1953 New York sky. As the protagonist, your mission is to defend the land of the free at every cost necessary. Good luck, soldier!

If you have played the demo like me you'll probably know why... yeah sure order it fast for it's not gonna last very long on the shelf. What they should do is spend more money on hiring better dev to make the map less linear than Doom (after you killed the first paratropper you are on top of a corridor. You can't even shoot the glass and enter into it and run to the next building.. instead you have to walk on top of it and wait for the forced event of it breaking and leave a hole in the wall. If all the glasses is bulletproof like that why should they worry about the Germans at all). I know some ppl will say it is not that bad blah blah blah. It is not a bad game after all *IFF* the year is 2001.
