David Gardner and Phil Harrison know what they want for Infogrames, and they have a plan. Two of the main features of this plan include walking their talk and possibly dropping the Infogrames name. Both head honchos talked a little bit about these in a recent interview. According to Gardner, there's currently no real need to raise funds in order to breathe some fresh life into Infogrames. What is needed is integrity. As Gardner put it: What I really want to do is show the investors that we do what we say, and then we want to outline some more ambitious plans, so that when we do that - and tied to those plans is a business plan that they can believe in - they will invest. Why consider dropping the Infogrames name, then? For Gardner and Harrison, it's all about branding. The two men have a vision for Infogrames "starting over", and they needed a name to reflect that change: Atari. Gardner and Harrison also touched upon a host of other topics, such as room for error and Alone in the Dark (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii). If you'd like more information feel to check out this article. |
