Space Siege - Image 1As of press time, "soon" is ticking at T-minus 3 days and 16 hours. Gas Powered Games' Dungeon Siege-gone-zero gravity has been silent as of late in the press, but it seems that the developers have not been slacking in Space Siege's development. In a few days, we'll be able to see whether the time spent since the last gameplay montage has improved, and what the sci-fi action RPG has to offer us. On ot the full story for just a little more.

Oh lookie, lookie: Sins of a Solar Empire demo rolled out - Image 1Sins of a Solar Empire may not be the most impressive of titles, but it is one of the top selling PC games out there. And we can't deny its attraction, either: in between epic bouts among mechanical commanders and conquering the galaxy one parsec at a time, we've been dunking our noggins into Ironclad Games' latest sci-fi real-time strategy game with a turn-based strategic difference. But you've gotta try it to believe it. Luckily, Stardock's got that handled easy. More at the full story.

Flex those PC muscles: Crysis demo arrives - Image 1

The moment of truth is at hand. If you didn't get to enter the few exclusive Beta tests of Crysis, then this news is for you. The Crysis demo was rescheduled for release today, and Crytek made good on their promise. Electronic Arts now has a taste of the PC community's most anticipated game for 2007 out on the most popular download portals in the Internet, and you could say hardcore gamers and hardware enthusiasts are flexing many a PC muscle in the 45-minute long, single-player demo.

As was reported a month back, the Crysis demo will sport the CryEngine 2 Sandbox editor, so budding modders and experienced modders can prime themselves for user-created content in the remaining weeks before the game hits shelves. Now servers around the world must feel the almost endless download strain once again, and avid torrent seeders will become the unsung heroes for those late in picking up the news.

Why? Because the demo, weighing in at a whopping 1.77 GB of compressed data, already has most of the popular, non-membership download sites at a crawl - which is an understatement in itself. This is why we've added a little treat for those who picked up this news here at QJ.NET: an FTP link to EA's own file hosting.
