Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, and Dr. Ray Stantz showed up in this year's E3 to remind everyone that The Ghostbusters are very much alive and still whoopin' some supernatural tail. The trailer for Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, PC) has been unveiled and it's looking pretty impressive.

This clip will show you some familiar fiends and some old buddies in current-gen form. Proton blasts have never looked better and so have the characters. Have a peek:

Pretty sweet stuff, we must say. The game is set for release this fall by Sierra Entertainment and will be developed by Terminal Reality and Red Fly Studios.

So, we're getting a game based on Ghostbusters, that apparently has some scenerios from the movies, and has a new story from Dan Akroid and Harold Ramis... plus the voices of the original Ghostbusters (Bill, Dan, Harold and Ernie)?

...

F*** YEAH!!!

Yeah, I'm a little confused by the story line. It's supposed to be a new story yet contains scenes from the original.

But even with that confusion I'm glad someone is finally making something TRUE to the original.

This release is gonna rock....HARD!!!!

Yeah baby yeah, bring me the ghostbusters!!!!

I am so looking forward to this...

Sidenote, some character movements (when running) look a bit strange, don't they?
