Veterans of the first two Command and Conquer: Red Alert games may fondly remember how then developer Westwood Studios rewrote history with the Soviet Union as the dominant power to beat. Yes, that's right. We said "first two games" because Electronic Arts has recently announced that third installment for the Red Alert series is in the works.

Admittedly, not much info has been revealed about this new sequel as of yet. The April issue of PC Gamer, however, features what appears to be a Soviet version of Tanya (either that or a gender-switched version of Boris without the fur coat) sporting a Kalashnikov designer rifle on the front cover.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 should complement Electronic Arts' other offerings, namely Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (PC, Xbox 360) and Tiberium (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) quite nicely.
