Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 as featured on PC Gamer April - Image 1Veterans of the first two Command and Conquer: Red Alert games may fondly remember how then developer Westwood Studios rewrote history with the Soviet Union as the dominant power to beat. Yes, that's right. We said "first two games" because Electronic Arts has recently announced that third installment for the Red Alert series is in the works.

Admittedly, not much info has been revealed about this new sequel as of yet. The April issue of PC Gamer, however, features what appears to be a Soviet version of Tanya (either that or a gender-switched version of Boris without the fur coat) sporting a Kalashnikov designer rifle on the front cover.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 should complement Electronic Arts' other offerings, namely Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (PC, Xbox 360) and Tiberium (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) quite nicely. PC Gamer magazine will be featuring the game in it's April issue, but if you'd like to see red in the meantime, feel free to check out PC Gamer's website, courtesy of the link below.

 » Not Tiberium Wars 2?

I was seriously hoping for a continuation of Kane's plot in the C&C storyline, but Yuri makes for an interesting character as well. I also wonder if they're going to make it as "realistic" as the previous C&C releases. I'm definitely going to try this out when it's released.

For Mother Russia! :D

No, not Tiberium Wars 2. There's still an expansion to consider. :)

Also, there's no word yet as to whether Yuri will be the main antagonist this time around or not. For all we know, it may be a totally new hypothetical character. ^_^

Crazy Ivan must have gotten crazier if he graduated from dynamite to rifles. ;)

Did not have a Kalashnikov. My bet is the Soviets cloned Tanya. It's Natasha!
