Those who have played the sports video game FIFA Manager 07: Extra Time know well that it sometimes crashes whenever the A.I. is building a camp. This is the very same reason why Electronic Arts (EA) suddenly decided, and quite uncharacteristically if we may add, to release a patch for the game. That patch is available now.

In the past, there have been many reports by fans themselves that several EA titles are having issues with online features and whatnot. Releasing this add-on actually marks the first time in the company's history. And take note that this is not just an ordinary patch as it features as well new content and several improvements.

The game, or the series for that matter, focused on football management and not on the football game per se. It is known in other markets like Spain and Italy as Total Club Manager. Before all of these, EA released a similar title FIFA Soccer Manager back in 1997 for Windows PCs.

Football fans rejoice! The game that lets you get into football management is going to get even better.

EA's first ever add-on for an EA Sports title, Extra Time adds a number of new features to FIFA Manager 07. The add-on gives players a chance to get in the day to day drudgeries of football management.

Here's a sneak peek at the downloadable expansion scheduled for release late Q1 this year.

EA has just announced that an English-only add-on for FIFA Manager 07 is going to be released soon, adding more features to the already extensive 2,000 clubs and over 20,000 players. The add-on, called Extra Time, will be the first ever add-on that EA releases for an EA Sports title and will include the same features as the German version called Verlängerung.

Here's what players can expect to see in Extra Time:

Player Management
With Extra Time, players can now start the game as a player manager. In this case the player starts a career under his own name. At the beginning of the game, he can choose his character and abilities and in the course of the game he can continuously improve himself and even start an international career.

Ups & Downs
After pre-season training, at the end of the year, and at the end of the season, all players will be re-evaluated and their ratings will be adjusted accordingly so you can see just how well you have performed as their manager.
