Frontlines: Fuel of War from THQ - Image 1

In an interview with GameSpot, Frank DeLise, general manager of KAOS Studios, talks about the various strengths and weaknesses Frontlines: Fuel of War will have on each platform it will appear on, namely the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

DeLise explains that the PC version would have an advantage with controlling the gun. The game's aiming system will have 20% spread and 80% recoil (most shooters are the opposite) so controlling the gun with a mouse and keyboard will be easier.

The PC version will also have a mod suite, meaning that you can create your own multiplayer and single-player maps, vehicles and weapons. DeLise explains that "everything we use will be 100% available to the public."

The PlayStation 3 version will be making use of the SIXAXIS controller, which players can use to fly drones and helicopters. Right now the feature is mainly for vehicular control, infantry movements and melee but developers are experimenting with using it for sniping.

The Xbox 360 version will be able to have up to 16 players on your own server, but anything more than that will have to go through dedicated servers. This is to comply with Microsoft's Xbox Live Server Platform system.

DeLise also adds that Frontlines: Fuel of War already has a sequel in the works because a lot of what they planned for the game wasn't able to make it into the final product. He says that in the sequels, you'll be able to see the story from the other side of the war.
