This summer looks like a promising one for the "Man in the Hat" as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a new movie featuring world renowned archaeologist and sometime hero Indiana Jones, will make its way to the box office.

To mark the event, Lucasfilm, Ltd. and Paramount Home Entertainment announced that three special DVD movies featuring the past three Indiana Jones movies will be released along with a special game demo and trailer for Traveller's Tales' Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures(Xbox 360, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii, and DS ).

The game itself will be released this June 3 and will basically recount the first three films in a more humorous and animated manner.

While it was mentioned all three special edition DVD movies will pack a copy of the Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures game demo and trailer, it wasn't explained which platform the bonus content will be available for. However, considering the game is slated for a release on all the major gaming platforms, it's a safe bet that other, more accessible demos should be out at around the same time.

On a more somber note, the UK distributor of the game mentioned to Eurogamer that the local release of the movies won't have a playable demo of Lego Indiana Jones. This is mostly a reference to the misrepresented use of the movie industry's term "demo" for video games - case in point, the supposed Resident Evil 5(PS3, Xbox 360) demo included in the Resident Evil: Extinction Blu-ray release.

In any case, the special edition DVDs will be available on May 13, so Indy fans who are hoping to catch the Lego version of their favorite fedora wearing, whip brandishing archaeologist had better mark their calendars for that date.
