 Okay, so earlier, I said that Left 4 Dead 2 is the sequel with the most number of boycott pleas. Apparently, there may be another game giving it a run for its money, and it's Modern Warfare 2.The backlash continues to rage against Infinity Ward after their announcement of having no dedicated servers nor mods to make way for the new IWNet system for the much-anticipated game's PC version. To date, there are currently 140,000 signatures - and certainly growing - coming from the PC community in support of not supporting MW2 (also on Xbox 360, PS3). The contested PC version also reportedly now has a stellar 162 one-star reviews on Amazon.com.uk alone. This is sure to hurt the sales numbers of this game's particular version. Meanwhile, other dedicated servers, such as on Game.Monitor.com, have over 330 servers waving the banner of "Boycott MW2" in their titles high and proud. Related Articles: |

Even though this was a way to protect us from cheaters. If dedi was there cheats would come out and people would fill their forums with complaints. I think this is fair for them and for us.
Its not our fault theres people out there trying stuff then releasing to the public so the game gets nuked.

Do you lot remember the first few weeks of W@W? The party of people under the map? Do you want that to happen to MW2? Or rather have a controlled enviroment.
But from experience i think they are gonna add dedi after a few months after release. After all glitches patched and flaws gone.

If i am not mistaken We the Users Make the Best Servers and the Best Mods, Not them.
Just take a look at "Half-Life" it was a crappy game yet some guy made the Best mod in the world from it "Counter Strike"

Halflife was a fundamental evolution of the single player FPS, without which we would have none of the great FPS we have today.
Sure, Gearbox and the like cut their teeth modding the HL engine, thereby changing the nature of multiplayer and user created content, although it is arguable that ID broke that ground with both Doom and Quake.
Anyways, grow up, stop posting crap against classics like HalfLife,

It was probably Activisions call, not IW. Second, it was a move to combat piracy. This is their form of DRM. Thank PC pirates. Third, this game is still pre-order selling like crack in a halfway house for the consoles. It may die on the PC market, but considering how many hundreds of thousands of people play it on console... ..ya.

I find it very funny that PC gamer are *****ing that they are not getting dedicated servers they are getting the game cheaper by £10 than any one else. If you cant play the game without moding it or cheating well then you should not be playing it at all. LOL

(Sits young jedi down) now think of this as an uppercut in a boxing match from an underdog that sends his/her huge opponent stumbling. The underdog hasn't won the match but the opponent knows that it wont be an easy fight and they can't just rely on their power to win.

I've never liked finding a server in PC games. This is especially frustrating if you were trying to get together with a friend or two.
"Hey I found a server, it's called X"
"I can't find it. Found it. F*CK! It's full."
"How about this one?"
"I don't see that one. Lemme refresh. Nope, still can't find it."
Then you get the jags that hang around on specific dedicated servers who treat you like sh*t because they think it's their own little club they frequent.
Dedicated servers are a relic of yesterday. Steam has rectified a significant portion of this, but playing a game with your friends shouldn't be a chore.

what hurt more is how IW team accepted this project , they are mooders too , and mooders helped them some day to be what they are now .
and you know guys COD6 game play is all about close combat forget crosfire tactical long hours gameplay and , i thing COD6 is all like Rainbow six vegas but with good GFX , so this game dont deserve all this intention .

- no long videos all videos are in close comabt gangsetrs maps
- no demo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- no no infantry driven tactical combat ( gangsters fight )
