British MPs are apparently not impressed with Activision's Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Keith Vaz, noted anti-game politician, has made comments about the game to the Daily Mail, saying he is "absolutely shocked" at the game's violence.

When news spread about GameStop breaking the street date on Modern Warfare 2, Chris Oliviera, the retailer's vp for corporate communications in Texas, contacted Kotaku to explain the situation. The exec confirms that GameStop indeed made the decision to break the street date, saying that it was "an effort to protect our customer base."

The official launch of Modern Warfare 2 is only a couple of snoozes away, but apparently, it just can't wait. Another game has its street date broken again, frustrating people who haven't gotten in on those early purchases. One retailer raking in the dough out of this whole deal is GameStop, whose outlets in the Northeastern states have started selling Modern Warfare 2.

Activision will definitely not be kind to those people who attempt to pirate their goose that's sure to lay golden eggs, Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Last Thursday, Activision apparently spotted a high-profile offer posted on Craigslist for the said game. Not about to shrug it off, the publisher actually hired a private investigative firm to catch the seller.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has thrown down the gauntlet. In the newest GTTV episode, he predicted that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will outsell Modern Warfare 2 on a single platform. Oh, and he says there's no Wii HD.

And so the PC version of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) keeps getting caught up in major controversies. We're picking up word now that online retailers are refusing to stock up the game on their shelves because of Steam.

Now this is how a game should be. I dunno if Modern Warfare 2 will indeed be the biggest entertainment release of all time, but damn, they sure know how to make one hell of a trailer. Enough talk, here it is - in all its sick and stunning glory - the launch trailer for Modern Warfare 2.

With just one week until the release of the most anticipated game of the year, Activision and Infinity Ward has released the official launch trailer of Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360).  The explosive trailer features huge gun fights, jaw dropping environments, spoilers and a little something to do in space, all to the tune of Eminem and Nate Dogg's "Till I Collapse." When a chain with 6,200 stores says that they've never had a game with as much pre-orders, that's gotta say a lot about how much demand there is for a game. Such were the words of GameStop's executive VP for merchandising and marketing, Tony Bartel, about Modern Warfare 2. In fact, the anticipation for the game is so massive that they're expecting the game's release to be "the biggest entertainment launch of all time."
