Rise of the Argonauts - Image 1

A few months back, we covered Codemasters' announcement of its latest RPG project titled Rise of the Argonauts for all leading consoles, as well as a confirmed PC version. Not much info about the game other than the fact that there's some deep exploration and epic questing to do, but now, here's some actual screenshots (as well as a developer interview video) about the game itself.

The screenshots are looking absolutely gorgeous. One thing to note is not only is everything about the characters being displayed is detailed to the hilt, but their wounds are actually given the digital treatment as well, from the longest, most painful-looking cut to the smallest nick. The environment and the lighting effects are nothing to scoff at either.

In the video interview, we not only see a whole lot of slick-looking gameplay, but we also find out that all the major legends of the game are pretty much going to be recruitable in our party - from the nigh-invicible Achilles to the devastatingly-powerful Hercules. Now if that doesn't sound awesome, I don't know what does. As for actual combat, you'll have to see it to believe it (watch out for the Hercules-Jason teamup maneuver. Killer.)

Rise of the Argonauts is certainly shaping up to be a great title indeed. Updates as we get them, and in the meantime, why not have yourself some delicious eye-candy?
