We'd like to take this moment to honor id Software's boxart artist for Doom, Don Ivan Punchatz. He passed away at the age of 73 last month.

We've all had our moments of gamer rage -- times when we just want to break stuff due to frustration with out shared hobby of controlling moving pixels on a screen. One StarCraft fan, however, has been reported to have taken gamer rage to a whole new, more lethal level.

The ratings from ESRB for games Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) and Kamen Rider are out, and needless to say, they've gone the unconventional route of providing rating descriptions with a whole lot of italics for emphasis, and ellipses for dramatic pauses.

This we expected from Jack Thompson. But from the Gundam creator? This certainly brings a whole lot of disconnect to me. Yoshiyuki Tomino, creator of the most famous sci-fi giant robot (complete with his own posse) Gundam, believes that "video games are evil." Why? Because it's killing our planet. Among many other things, I can only suppose. I think he must have heard of the failed suicide/ arson episode in Japan because mommy took out the guy's Gundam collection to trash. Ever since Rockstar's highly lucrative Grand Theft Auto franchise started raking in the cash, there have been rumors that it was going to be adapted for the silver screen. Heck, even rapper Eminem was rumored to be attached to a GTA movie at one time. Rockstar, on the other hand, has deflected all rumors and offers so far. Why? Because they need to protect their baby from being misrepresented by a suck-tastic movie made only to capitalize on the series' accomplishments.

There can be no doubt that some of the best gamers in the world are from South Korea. The WCG is a witness to what the Korean gaming force can do. Even outside the WCG, whether it's StarCraft, Warcraft, Counter-strike, and even Tekken, there's bound to be a Korean or two among the best. So now comes this Craiglist posting, where you get to learn StarCraft from a real Korean, and no not a fake one.

The global population may be ballooning like mad, but Koei Tecmo seems to think that there aren't enough Dynasty Babies to form a strikeforce. If China has the One-Child policy to discourage procreation, Koei Tecmo does the exact opposite, providing monetary incentives for their employees to have more babies.

He's a future astrophysicist, a martial artist, a College Degree holder at the age of 11, and he doesn't like video games. Child prodigy Moshe Kai Cavalin graduated with honors from East Los Angeles Community College just last week, and made it known to the world that he thinks video games are "a waste of time."

Today, June 6th 2009, marks the 25th year after it was conceived by its dad, Alexey Pajitnov. Tetris is more than just a game, it's an institution, an icon, and inspiration behind the hilarious Japanese Human Tetris game show. To celebrate this milestone, Tetris rights owner Blue Planet Software plans to unveil a motion-based Tetris game later this year.
