E3 used to be the event of events. As soon as one was over I'd be looking forward to the next one. Now it sounds like they've completely ruined it.
Only 32 companies? Only 3-4,000 invites? This is crap. Whoever decided this was a good idea needs to be taken out in a field and shot...but that's probably just the violent video game in me talking.

The ESA's idea has failed, and now the companies that wanted to be heard aren't even coming? I cant wait to ignore this E3, this is truely the lowest of the low. The ESA is going to have to re-think this, its pretty much pointless to even hold this thing anymore.

E3 was made for one purpose, business. It wasn't made to appease the fanboys. I'm not sure how many people posting have actually attended E3. If you have, you'd understand how a media member or exhibitor might have problems getting from one booth to another through the sea of people (some who seem to forget how to bathe). Personally I'm happy they shrunk the show and moved it. Now many of the people attending won't be too scared to come out of their hotels for once. The only thing I don't like is that it's invite only. Even though I'll be able to attend, some of my colleagues that would help make my job easier aren't able to.

That isn't the point, the point was to get the word of the little man across, but where is the little man? All I see are the huge companies that have never done poorly in these shows.
