Or something along those lines. Paul Sams, a name we're somehow also hearing from the Diablo 3-on-console rumor veins, may be so bold to call on Microsoft to do something for the Windows end of their business, but the chief of operations at Blizzard Entertainment does believe Microsoft should take the steps. More on Sams' opinions at the full story. |

Before we dive into the deep conundrums we prepped within, we'd first like to give full credit to QJ.NET reader refractionpcsx2 - one who managed to tie down one of most plausible theories we've sifted since the Diablo 3 rumors started rolling in like earth from a landslide. Remember the pieces of the "purple walrus" puzzle? Remember their numbers? A new piece popped up while we were away, and it's numbered 16. So now we have 4, 15, 16, and 23. Google the numbers - they're four of six Valenzetti numbers. |

As advocates of rewarding legitimate PC game customers instead of punishing them, Stardock has more than once stirred the gaming populace's apprehensions over PC gaming's pitfalls and it's alleged links to piracy. Today is no exception. The publishers behind the non-copy protected Strategy First's Galactic Civilizations, GalCiv 2, and top seller Sins of a Solar Empire from Ironclad Games, talked down more on blame piracy, and why even Microsoft shouldn't be at fault either. |

EA Sports or 2K Sports? Although EA Sports has the advantage in the number of their franchises, Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick believes that 2K Sports still "outrate[s] them significantly." Quite a claim. More in the full article. |

More unhappy predictions for ESA, the organization behind the annual E3 convention. Hal Halpin, head and founder of the ECA (a non-profit organization dedicated to the interests of gamers), believes that more companies are likely to leave the ESA. Sounds like E3 is headed for some tough times. More in the full article. |

The saga continues...at least, when it comes to the Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive take-over bid. And in this particular story, Take-Two will still play coy and refuse any advances made by EA. At least, that's what's industry analyst Michael Pachter predicts. More in the full article. |

Would you agree with this take on the death of the PC? Doug Lombardi laughed at retail and media hearsay that PC gaming is either dead or dying. Valve Software's co-founder was more than happy to say that the idea that PC gaming is dying is a "perception problem." Guess it's time to broaden our horizons and take the world view into our sights. More at the full story. |
