Everyone previously thought that Dead Space would get a timely release for Halloween this year. October 31 - no better date than to release what could be this year's freakiest game on the market. We learn today via press release, however, that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be coming in a few days early. Electronic Arts has announced that, due to speedy developments in producing the game, they're able to release it early on October 24. That's a full week right before its original assumed date of October 31. The PC version is set to follow the PS3 and 360 releases though, and it's still clocked for an October 31 street date. That is true. Being both a PC and X360/PS3 gamer (PC has a Q6600, 4GB RAM, 8800GT), I can say that PC is dieing in compared to consoles. People don't want to go spend $1000 on a PC, then have to spend another $500 every year minimum to keep it up to date with the newest games' specs.
They just want to pay a 1-time price, throw in a game and play. Nothing fancy.

None of you have any clue as to what you are talking about. PC gaming peripherals (video cards and so forth) IN SALES, FAR EXCEED console sales.
The PC gaming industry continues to GROW at a rapid rate.
The first link from Google gives plenty of insight. Search even further and it's clear how wrong you are:
