EA Sports President Peter Moore - Image 1Now that Peter Moore has taken the helm of EA Sports as president, big plans are about to be carried out for the company. Not only does he want games of the brand to be successful in multiple platforms, but also wants EA Sports to go global.

In an interview, Moore discussed about how he looks at other countries where the gaming industry could be in three years time. India, Russia, and mainland China are the biggest bets as future major players within the interactive entertainment world. For instance, EA Sports is looking at cricket as a sport that can become more than just India's favorite.

Other goals in Moore's checklist include capitalizing on various platforms and making sure his company can make games that sell to a wider audience. He also expressed interest in getting another tattoo, one of John Madden, if his back is wide enough.

When asked why Moore left his position in Microsoft as corporate vice president, he replied:

[EA] is a company I have enjoyed competing with over the years and more recently collaborating with. I have strong Bay Area roots with my kids being born here, being Cal Berkeley kids, and the timing was right for me both personally and professionally to come here.

He also mentioned how he knew Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitello for a long time and figured out that being where he is now is the suitable place for someone with his background. Some may remember EA also offered him good salary and compensation for leaving his previous job.

 » Haha

What he really meant to say was...

"We try to pump out another copy of each sports game every year with no real changes except the names on the back of the jersey. The consumer continues to buy our rehashed junk so we will continue to publish it. Now that we've also acquired Bioware/Pandemic studios, we will start work on Ratchet and Clank 13. ***** you very much joe public."

 » ratchet and clank is not even from bioware nor pandemis

It'S from insomniac and it's not the same from one to the second and etc. Like the final fantasies, the name is the biggest thing that rest in the game.

And for the topic; I didn't know he was fired from M$! :S He surely didn't really choose this since it's surely paid a lot less than top M$, lol.

@spicyhamster:
1st: your nickname is really funny, lol.
2nd: I really don't like him as well, he looks like a gay that really wants your back!

Everyone loved him when he was with MS cause he had great ideas but now they hate him just because he works for EA. They're a great company and antibing, you obviously haven't tried NHL 08 or Skate. NHL 08 was a complete overhaul from 07 and Skate was a new IP that demolished Tony Hawk games

 » I wonder...

This man loves his fake tattoos, he loves names of MS games on his arms. I wonder if he will start having tattoos of EA games on his legs now!
