The upcoming open world venture of Sierra Entertainment and Radical Entertainment can only be described as mysterious, what with a genetically enhanced protagonist who can transform his arms into creepy claws and a version of New York that doesn't seem like a nice place to visit. To give everyone a feel of its dark atmosphere, an official website is now up for Prototype (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PC).

Featuring Alex Mercer, a victim of fiddling with genetics that caused an outbreak of the unknown virus which devastated New York, Prototype promises a "vast array of deadly biological weaponry." On the game's website, you'll learn more about his claws and the ability to attack using ground spikes.
