Codemasters' Rise of the Argonauts video game news: Atalanta info and screenshot - Image 1We haven't been hearing much about Codemasters' Rise of the Argonauts (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) lately, save for the time they dropped a release period last month.

Thankfully, they recently released new information about the game itself to keep us interested - with this new info, perhaps some of us a bit more than others.

In Greek Mythology, the huntress Atalanta was the only female to join Jason's warriors as he sailed to retrieve the Golden Fleece. Some stories says she didn't, because Jason refused to have a female on his ship.

Thankfully, Atalanta is present among the crew in Rise of the Argonauts. In the game, Atalanta was orphaned in the jungles of Saria as a young girl. By the time she became a woman, she had become a legend.

Atalanta is a lone huntress, but is also a member of a colony of centaurs. She is skilled with the bow, but she also knows poisons and alchemy which makes her arrows all the more deadlier. Click on the image above to enlarge it.
