Ó

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Image 1We were actually quite happy to hear that S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl was finally getting out of its nigh-Vaporware status and would be coming to PCs this year. Yeah, we're still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever (just to complete the one-two punch), but things aren't going so well for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. either.

A recent article on EuroGamer suggests that THQ is getting a little weak-kneed regarding the title's March 23 release date. When asked about the game's release- which, incidentally, will coincide with the PS3's Euro launch - a spokesperson for the publisher told Eurogamer, "What we're saying at the moment is March, but it's definitely not slipped outside of March." Yep, definitely not rock-solid.

Maybe they just didn't want to go against the PS3's launch. We don't know. If all goes well and the game does get released next month, we won't be so disappointed. Heck, we've waited more than five years for this monster, so a few more days won't be that big of a deal.
