Sid Meier's Railroads

If you've been cho-cho-chooing since the game's release last October, you might be asking yourself if there's anything more to Sid Meier's Railroads. Ask no more. 2K Games is responding with a free holiday download for your railroad-tycooning lifestyle. The download was developed by the Frixaxis team and will be available this week (via the link below) - just right in time for Christmas!

This holiday "expansion" brings a seasonal twist to your train-sim as you'd have to help Santa and his faithful elves in transporting toys before the looming deadline. This scenario will include two new train skins and custom sounds, as well as other holiday-themed goodies. There's going to be a treacherous North Pole environment and three other robber barons that are planning to crush your Christmas spirit.

Full steam ahead!

Railroad Tycoon

Sid Meier's
Railroads is now available for free download! If you head on over to it's official site, you will see that it's not only the demo that is available, but also the free full game.

This latest installation from the Railroad Tycoon series, released last October, is actually the first since the original to bring in direct input from Sid himself. It focuses more on economics and industry, as compared to the previous version. It also features more new scenarios and trains from both North America and Europe. Deviating from its usual complex interface, Railroads now adapts a simpler one, while featuring full 3D computer graphics and real time gameplay.
