Rumor-shot down time! Unfortunately, Battlefield Heroes will NOT be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, contrary to the reports that we've seen recently. No less than DICE executive producer Ben Cousins put this rumor to rest.

"Contrary to rumors spreading around the Internet in the weekend we have no plans to release Battlefield Heroes on either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360." Hey, that's what I said in my opening! But of course, that's not all.

"Battlefield Heroes' mixture of free download (funded by micro-transactions and advertising) and our extensive use of the web for social features means that Heroes is tailor-made for PC."

The summer open beta is coming soon, but we're still waiting for a specific date as to when it'll be exactly.
