Steam client update addresses Portal: First Slice launch problems - Image 1Here's a quick heads-up for the subscribers of Valve Corporation's Steam service. We're letting you guys know that this content delivery system has received a new update that's now available for download.

Among other things, this update will be addressing a reported problem with the Portal: First Slice demo. As for the rest of its changes:
  • Fixed Portal: First Slice being unable to launch for some users
  • Fixed GoldSrc MODs being unable to launch from the Steam serverbrowser
  • Fixed network issue on startup
To download the update, you'll want to access the file menu inside the Steam client on your PC, and select  "Check for Steam Client Update" option. Those interested in reading further regarding the Steam update will want to visit the service's official site via the source link below.
