We've all had our moments of gamer rage -- times when we just want to break stuff due to frustration with out shared hobby of controlling moving pixels on a screen. One StarCraft fan, however, has been reported to have taken gamer rage to a whole new, more lethal level.

Positech Games' Gratuitous Space Battles doesn't pass itself off as something that it's not. In fact, it's exactly what its title says -- a game that's all about the explosions and parts mangling that happens when armadas of heavily-armed battlecruisers and capital ships collide. It's like a 4X game where all the Xs mean "Exterminate." Relic Entertainment has released a very short teaser trailer for Chaos Rising, the upcoming expansion pack for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. Check it out after the jump.

Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures have announced that Sam Raimi has signed on to direct a movie based on Blizzrd's Warcraft universe. It's Warcraft, so this isn't just limited to that insanely popular MMO we've all encountered at one point or another.

The press release for Command & Conquer 4 has finally caught up to the very early announcement from Electronic Arts' UK PR team. Maybe the PR team is caught in some weird time phenomena, dooming them to forever live one day ahead of the rest of humanity. Cool. More details about the game are in the full article.

Whoops! It looks like Electronic Arts's UK PR team has made a goof, announcing on Twitter that Command & Conquer 4 is now in development. While Twitter announcements have become more and more common these days, this particular one included a link to the supposed press release, which actually doesn't seem to exist yet.

Planning a LAN party to celebrate the launch of StarCraft II (whenever that is)? You can still do that, but you'll all have to be connected to Battle.Net first. Blizzard has confirmed that the upcoming RTS game will not support LAN play to further build up Battle.Net as the multiplayer solution for their games. That, and to combat piracy.

The title says it all really. Hopefully we'll get in on the StarCraft II multiplayer action later this year. Check out the video after the jump..

Rumor-shot down time! Unfortunately, Battlefield Heroes will NOT be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, contrary to the reports that we've seen recently. No less than DICE executive producer Ben Cousins put this rumor to rest.

Battlefield 2 is still going, folks. EA/DICE has just rolled out Patch 1.50 Beta 2. Included in the new features list would be the addition of support for Windows Vista, Widescreen resolutions, and Novint Falcon controller.
