Supreme Commander - Image 1

The real-time strategy mammoth that caters to all hardcore strategists out there may be seeing an expansion soon. During an interview with eXp.de Extreme Players, Gas Powered Games' designer Chris Taylor expounded on just how much focus and how much dedication they put into the phenomenal title that more than makes up for the 10-year lull in the Total Annihilation franchise.

While the game isn't TA by name, it spiritually embodies the game with true flexibility and strategy, rendered in glorious 3D. All-in-all, it's a Total Annihilation fan's dream come true, despite being a casual gamer's micromanagement nightmare.

So when Chris Taylor didn't deny the fact that they have something in the works for Supreme Commander, we couldn't help but think: "Oh boy, there he goes again." He pulled that stunt off before with Supreme Commander, and now that he delivered on his word, fans could be safe to assume something is cooking in the GPG kitchen, and it isn't stew.

What you can officially look forward to, however, is that a DirectX 10 patch is on the way (aside from the one made available after release), and a new game is in the works which will be announced later this year. Hard working, you say? You've got to be kidding. If he can pull out a grand speech of game development revolution for DICE 07, he can definitely back it.
