Box art for the original Warhammer 40K Dawn of War - Image 1If you've enjoyed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War thus far, then why not give the sequel a try? Yup, you heard us right. Both THQ and Relic Entertainment have officially confirmed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 for fans of the franchise.

That's not all the good news there is, mind you. THQ also has a bonus announcement for those who've purchased the Soulstorm standalone installment - they will be able to participate in a multiplayer beta program for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2. This is by invitation only and will take place at a currently undisclosed future date.

Relic Entertainment and THQ have scheduled the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 for spring of the following year. The sequel will be powered by an enhanced version of Relic Entertainment's Essence Engine 2.0.
