THQ just announced over press wire that the publisher will be unveiling several of its fiscal year 2009 titles at the Game Press Event in San Francisco, California. Among the titles are sequels to THQ's top selling franchises: Saints Row 2, Red Faction: Guerrillas, and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 will make a showing at the press event, and even a handful of original games for the Nintendo Wii will tag along as well.

THQ is planning on showing off how Saints Row 2 will now utilize cooperative multiplayer gameplay, while they tease Red Faction fans with their "physics-based destruction" features for Red Faction: Guerrillas. More featurettes of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, DS) will also appear, though eyes may be focused on demonstrations of Darksiders: Wrath of War (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) - THQ's new original IP for the mainstream crowd.

For the casual side, THQ plans to promote de Blob for the Nintendo Wii, as well as new Wii-only exclusives Deadly Creatures, Battle of the Bands (formerly known as Band Mashups), and Big Beach Sports. Disney and Pixar's Wall*E is scheduled to make a showing.
