Trackmania United - Image 1

Focus Home Interactive's racing PC game Trackmania Unitedhas been revved up for the PC barely for a month now. But the excitement is obviously still far from dying down as Panogames released their screenshots for Trackmania United in all its 3D glory.

It's looking pretty next-gen, too, so we can't help but wonder how come Focus Home hasn't thought yet of bringing Trackmania onto the next-gen consoles. There can never be enough racing games out there, anyway, especially with those funky controllers we now have.

The review so far has been good, as the main feature for the game pools in some thumbs up, The editor actually allows you to create your own course from scratch, so it's up to you to let your imagination run wild and put up your own unbelievable maze for you to race in. Anyway, check out the screenshots and see just how cool these shots of Panogames are. We suggest you click on the thumbnails to get a better view.

Here's something new from Focus Home Interactive and Nadeo. They've found a creative way to brief us on some of the TrackMania United's aspects: Coppers, Manialinks, Maniazones, Solo Mode, and Multiplayer Mode.

They will be releasing one Webisode per week and this week the focus is on Coppers. Coppers in the in-game online currency that lets players purchase credits to challenge other players, buy cars, tracks and others. Players can also purchase other player's replays.

Watch the Webisode below for more info.

Trackmania UnitedIn Trackmania United, a minor thing such as lack of roads isn't a reason to stop you from racing. In fact, taking the challenge off-off-off road just makes it better. Taking it off the streets and onto everything else is one of the game's main attraction. Few does it better than this baby from Nadeo.

Trackmania United features seven racing environments - each with its own universe, terrain, vehicle choices, and driving technique. Trackmania United goes from rubber burning hot to sub-zero conditions:

STADIUM. Stadium offers a wide choice of circuits, from the fastest to the most technical. It features a combination of F1 car and buggy, a vehicle is designed to have the competitive edge. With excellent grip, this racing car is easy to learn to drive but requires real dexterity to pull out its best performances. Requiring optimal roads, this vehicle needs precise speed control to record the best time. The environment offers the perfect mix between asphalt tracks and skidding dirt paths.

ISLAND. The Island environment and its racing car will have you glued to your screen! With mind-blowing speed, the Island vehicle gives hair-trigger handling, whether you prefer skidding and controlled slides at hundreds of miles per hour, or unadulterated driving, hammering it out on unforgiving roads. The wide variety of Editor blocks available allow the creation of radically different circuits.

DESERT. The flat sandy stretches, punctuated by canyons and rocky mounds offer a game terrain perfect for ultra-fast circuits with loops, hairpin turns, dizzying drops, and impressive jumps. The American has good acceleration and high performance breaks. Full speed turns, enormous jumps, and strong breaking are where it excels.

BAY. Bounce from roof to roof of the many buildings in Bay at the wheel of a "Grand Class" 4x4! The driving is fast, flexible and very peppy with a fantastic stunt spirit supported by an incredibly dynamic suspension! It's a 100% urban, ultra-detailed environment, Bay lets you play with the elements of the city: from the docks to the rooftops with loops, blocks straight from skate parks, and other urban craziness.

The reset of the seven deadly environments after the jump.

TrackMania

TrackMania United
, the fourth installment for the Track Mania franchise, will be fusing elements from its three predecessors to give you an all new dimension to racing, its creation, and sharing. This dimension, they say, is its Existential dimension. Whoa. That's deep. For a racing game, yeah, that sure sticks out like a sore thumb.

But barring that philosophical jargon, what you can expect from this game (and we'll make sure it's in layman's terms) are the new functionalities, like the management of solo scores, the potential of combining different environments in one game, and highly technological graphics that will suit whatever kind of computer you may have.

And we've got a whole lot more of screenshots, so make sure to check out the full article. Also you can download the trailer right here.
