Heavy Weapons Guy - Image 1Steam has some pretty big additions as of late. First off is an update to Valve's Team Fortress 2. The update fixes the crash issues experienced by many users when using a Linux machine as a dedicated server.

Another big development is Ubisoft's participation in the service. Most of its marquee franchises will soon be available for download, including the Tom Clancy games and the Heroes of Might & Magic series.

More importantly, console big-seller Assassin's Creed will now be available for online pre-order via Steam. PC gamers will now be able to take part in Altair's high-definition battles in the Crusades. More titles are set to follow, and we'll be sure to keep you updated.
