Steam - Image 1Valve has announced that it will be shipping a major update for its online gaming platform Steam. The update will introduce an advanced set of community features to Steam, which is now being used by more than 13 million gamers around the world.

When the update hits in July, Steam users will be able to set up personal Steam pages and profiles and engage in group and voice chat. The new community features will also let Steam users create and join groups, schedule games with friends, review who they've played with, see how well everyone played and more.

These new features will be free of charge and will be accessible via both the Steam desktop client and the web. The new community features and services will also usable with all new and old Steam games.
