PS3, Xbox 360, PC - Damnation - Codemasters - Image 1Steampunk. I'm sure you've heard of it: it's a wide genre encompassing various books, movies, and video games. Here's yet another example of a steampunk-oozing game - a shooter this time - Damnation. Today, we give you the low-down on all its features and treat you to some eyecandy. Grab your boots - they're made for walking, after all. And in this game, let's hope your boots withstand three hours' worth of walking, climbing, jumping, and waltzing from Point A to Point B in one single map. Talk about expansive.

QuickJump QuickPeek introduces... the Weekend Warriors - Image 1QuickJump QuickPeek finally gets a make-over! After a full year of weekly updates, we're now turning over a new leaf and allowing this QJ.NET mainstay to branch out by introducing the Weekend Warriors. Sorry, the Weekend Whattssitts? Hmm, just think of it as the Planeteers summoning Captain Planet. ...Or something - some other equally bad analogy like that at least. Ha! Nonetheless, it's going to be quite interesting from here on out. Here's to yet another year of some crazy weekly updates! And with that, we open the floor for the Weekend Warriors!

The Beatles for Rock Band, Guitar Hero possible - Image 1 Speaking words of wisdom: let it be, let it be. Well, we do hope it will be - because if recent news holds out, we just might get a Beatles release for Rock Band or Guitar Hero (maybe for both games, if Lucy's diamonds shine down on us just right) - just like how Aerosmith got their own version for Guitar Hero. Back in March, ATV Music (in partnership with Sony) already expressed interest in bringing the Fab Four's music to GH. Recent accounts, however, report that a deal may finally be settled in the coming weeks.

QJ.NET's new 5-star review system explained - Image 1Numerical scores are like so last decade ago. So, breaking free from the supposed "one-size-fits-all" checklists of items to add up to a game's "score", we're going to be implementing a new five-star review system. See, we're trying to avoid having to quantify video games into arbitrary numbers. After all, many of us feel that a game isn't just the sum of all its parts (as in a checklist), but rather, the totality of the gaming experience itself! In the full article, we've come up with a handy FAQ to introduce this brand spanking new system to all of you QJ.NET readers. And yes, there're no half-stars about it! Rawr!

Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 4 - Image 1With Solid Snake enjoying epic numbers in Japan, it's now time to take a look at the other side of the world. Chart Track reports the software sales figures for the week ending on June 14, with Metal Gear Solid 4 closing its firm grip on to the top spot. Lego Indy is like so last week now. Its multiplatform success on the PSP, PS3, Wii, DS, 360, and PC last week apparently wasn't enough to take cover from the Guns of the Patriots. And for a PS3-exclusive to bring a multi-platformer down at heel? That's definitely saying something! See Raiden do the happy dance in the full article.

Thanks to Epic Games opening the gates for these user-created mods, you can now slip down the icy slopes and even do some tricks when you grab some air!

Prince of Persia - Image 1Lately, we've been hearing quite a lot about a new Prince of Persia title in the works at the Ubisoft Montreal labs. Today, we've finally gotten some official word straight from a press release. It's to be released towards the end of the year for the PS3, 360, PC, and DS. ade Raymond and Hideo Kojima's baby: Assassin's Solid - Image 1Remember Hideo Kojima and Jade Raymond's interview from a few months back? Well, we might have been musing about them coming up with a Metal Gear Solid - slash - Assassin's Creed hybrid, and now... well... Let's just say we're pretty amused. In this gameplay video, we see Altair running around a familiar-looking war zone, carrying his own rifle and trying to fight a couple of... nah. Sorry. No spoilers. Anyways, though the video appears to not take itself seriously (clue: April 1, 2008), you can't help but think if there's actually more than meets the eye...
