Ubisoft has rolled out a brand new trailer of Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), this time focusing on the games different factions. Take a look at how this factions will help the games new protagonist Ezio complete various objectives on his quest for vengeance.

Having sold 2.5 million copies on its first month and hitting eight in 2009, Alta-yeer and Assassin's Creed definitely set the bar high for the trilogy. But as early as now, Ezio and Assassin's Creed II are expected to do much better, with pre-orders up 10-20% from their predecessor. According to Mike Hickey of Janco Partners, Assassin's Creed II will do better than the first, and it'll give a much-needed boost for Ubisoft and its Q3 numbers.

Patrice Desiléts recently spoke with Gametrailers for some very welcome Assassin's Creed II (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) talk. This was supposed to be just your average interview - questions asked, developer answers, footage shown, then we're done. Although this interview did manage to get that done well, the Ubisoft creative director utters a few words that don't belong in a developer interview. In fact, I'm not even gonna post the words used here - you'll have to watch this video to find out. Minors, be advised.

The fourth chapter in the episodic Tales of Monkey Island will be going live later this week, and so Telltale has released a collection of screenshots to whet the appetites of those looking for their adventure game fix.

This year, fans of point-and-click adventure games will be treated to a revamped version of LucasArts' The Secret of Monkey Island which which will be released as a digital download on Xbox 360 and PC. Craig Derrick, the producer of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, intimated to the Guardian that PS3 and Wii owners may get the game as well.

There will be an ultimate assassin. This much you can expect from Ubisoft as a rep in E3 affirms that Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) is but the second in an intended trilogy.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) is going black. EB Games Australia is reportedly offering at their online store the Assassin'sc Creed 2 Exclusive Black Collector's Edition, and is pegging it for a November 2009 ship-out.

The game was delayed due to the rescheduling of the movie, but now that mid-2009 is here, we can expect the game to finally roll in. What's more is that the game is coming out a few weeks ahead of the movie too!

Pulling of some steampunk designs and artwork isn't as easy as it seems, y'know. Think you just go and put together tin cans and greasy engines? Hell no. These guys did some heavy lifting and coal burning to get the art of Damnation right. Hundreds of pictures from a train yard? Man, that's just the start of it.
