Get ready to put your Big Daddy suits on. 2K Games has finally announced a worldwide release date for BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC).

So BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) won't be arriving till 2010. No idea which part of the year, but nonetheless, it's still gonna be quite the wait for sure. The good news - and we're not promising this will compensate for the delayed release, but it's still worth a try - is that the first multiplayer trailer will finally debut this Thursday.

28 Weeks Later was good, yes? I enjoyed it. That reunion scene between husband and wife inside the lab was to die for. Really. So, if you like that kind of action, then you'd be thrilled to know that the director for that film, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, is in talks to get the film rolling for BioShock the movie, Variety reports.

In a somewhat surprising move today, Take-Two has announced that BioShock 2 (360, PS3) will be delayed and is now scheduled for release in the first half of 2010. The game, originally slated for a November 3 release in North America, will be pushed back to provide additional development time for the developers.

If you've been following the Prison Break star, Wentworth Miller, then you might already know by now that the guy just dropped a hint about his new project. In one word: BioShock. You have to hand it to the guy, he sure knows how to tease.

Joystiq is reporting that there will be a BioShock novel, thanks to the collaboration of Take-Two Interactive and sci-fi/ fantaasy publisher Tor. According to their scoop, the novel will consist of 400 pages, and will come out in both hard and softcovers.
