Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has tweeted via his fourzerotwo Twitter account that a new patch for the online exploits in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
is currently in the works. So to those taking advantage of these
exploits, for certain player
advantages over others, those days of exploitation are numbered. |

Patch 1.7 has been released for Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There are several sweet tweaks that the devs applied to the 39 MB update, and you can view what they are in the full article up next. After that, just go back to shooting anything that moves. |

As promised, patch version 1.60 of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has released on the PC, but as it's a tad earlier than officially announced. This "leaked" patch contains the four new maps promised for PC gamers. Though we know your attentions will be focused on the additional content that NVIDIA sponsored for free, let's not try to ignore the new fixes that Infinity Ward added to the leaked update. Activision's Call of Duty 4 may not have seen a Wii release, but that hasn't stopped the game from topping sales charts. That's what we hear from Infinity Ward, who was more than excited to announce the date that the Variety Map Pack will go live over FTP and file servers. Now while both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 got theirs for 10 bucks a piece, NVIDIA was more than happy to sponsor the map pack for all PC gamers. Great guys, they are.
