If your friend borrowed your credit card to make an "incredibly important purchase" and you got your bill at the end of the month with an ice-cold US$ 300 credit for a statue, you'd probably be looking this angry too. We've been hearing quite a number of updates on StarCraft 2 - which is fully fine and understandable, precisely because its beta is scheduled for this summer. But what of the other blockbuster title we're also waiting for? You know, Diablo III? It's time to refresh those  memories with the aid of these scrumptious screenshots released by Blizzard. Heads up, Diablo fans. Here's a new trailer for the series' upcoming installment, Diablo 3. There's no actual gameplay footage in this one. Instead it introduces players to the monsters that make up The Fallen Ones, formerly powerful demons who were turned into twisted imps after a failed rebellion against Diablo.

The reason why you're not having fantastical dogfights in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King right now lies in the physics. As in, it wasn't polished enough. That's what WoW's Tom Chilton revealed in the latest Blizzard podcast. The same podcast also featured senior Diablo III artist Mike Nicholson, who admitted that the new UI for Diablo 3 drew a lot of inspiration from WoW's UI.

BlizzCon 2008's panels were recently revealed, and it's no surprise that most of the panels were going to be about Blizzard's three high-profile games. If you have a ticket to BlizzCon or are hoping to win one through the lottery, learn what you'll be getting into after the jump!

After the BlizzCon website experienced a lot of downtimes due to the sheer number of people trying to get tickets to BlizzCon 2008, Blizzard president Mike Morhaime has stepped in to announce that the company will be selling another 3,000 tickets. Five classes, Blizzard had said - five classes that the player will initially select from on his first run through of Diablo III. Two of those classes were revealed at the World Wide Invitational at Paris, France this year, and only one of them has returned from a 20-year furlough from the Lord of Terror's last campaign in Sanctuary. The other was a Witch Doctor, who's origins and lore do not disguise the fact that it has replaced the loved Necromancer. Lead designer Jay Wilson explains its absence in Diablo 3.

Uh oh. As MTV Multiplayer puts it, the tables have turned on the disgruntled fans. Diablo III's lead designer, Jay Wilson, finally stepped up to the plate to take on the fans' edited screenshots. And we can tell you right now that the full story isn't going to be music to your ears, if the edited art-style was your bread and butter. But what we can say is that Blizzard has their reasons. Whoa, stop the presses! Diii.net's got a scoop that's not going to bold well for some regions outside of Battle.net's USEast, USWest, and Europe gateways: Blizzard's new plans for Battle.net is going to incur some costs on the pockets of gamers everywhere, just so that the security measures of the so-called "Battle.net 2.0" are up to level. Oh, and some really unnerving news to hardcore Diablo fans. Yeah - WoW influences again.

When the rumors started unfolding for Diablo III, speculations ran rampant that the action RPG was to become a massively multiplayer project by Blizzard. The division was especially successful with World of Warcraft, so it would have been likely that they would bet their other franchise on the money-making market.
