Heads up PC gamers! Valve  has released a new patch for their highly successful first-person shooter game Left 4 Dead. The latest update, now  available on Steam, fixes a few bugs and makes the mm_dedicated_search_maxping available to allow users to set the maximum acceptable ping for a dedicated server.

Left 4 Dead's Crash Course expansion has crashed, and bringing with it is a 50% discount to the original L4D title. Now that's a wreck I won't mind getting.

Members of the Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) Boycott committee dropped by the Valve offices for a visit, wherein they were given a tour, a small chat with Gabe Newell, and news that the Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360 and PC) team is still very much interested in beefing up part 1's universe, so much so that they are, in fact, cooking up another DLC to come after Crash Course.

The folks at Valve weren't just pulling the collective leg of Left 4 Dead fans when they said they still had something special in store for the game in the wake of the sequel's announcement. A new lobby browser has been added to the PC version of Left 4 Dead via an update released by Valve. The browser shows a list of optimal games that they can join, paring down the thousands of lobbies and games to make it easier to find the best ones available.
