EA Games' Need For Speed franchise may have taken a turn stylistically
with Need For Speed: ProStreet, (Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PSP, mobile and and Nintendo DS) but the company believes that its impact
on the gaming business will be similar to that of its predecessors. EA
Says that NFS: ProStreet should hold the top spot for the holiday
season, like most of its predecessors. |

With the release of Electronic Arts' Need for Speed ProStreet (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii) today, the game's promoters have released another video featuring drifting as demonstrated by the Street Kings of the various specialized racing organizations (RaceOrgs) in Electronic Arts' Need for Speed ProStreet. The video itself is pretty slick, and it captures much of the adrenalin behind the actual motor sport.Want to know who the five Street Kings are? Watch the video after the jump! |

With Electronics Arts winding up for the release of its latest arcade style racing game with Need for Speed: ProStreet, the promoters from the gaming company delivers to us an exclusive TV spot advertisement for the game.
The commercial encompasses all the hyped up game features that the developers from EA Black Box has been talking about for the past few months. New features such as the advanced damage modeling, customizable body parts autosculpting are just some of the features that add to this intense racing game's strong following. While the game doesn't exactly feature those two drivers you'll see in the video, the game might as well have been sliced from real life, seeing as how the visuals really bring life to the game. Need for Speed: ProStreet is due to be released this November 14 in North America on the PC, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and DS. Anyway, enjoy the video we have on this great game and remember, leave the driving to the professionals. We've seen many a car racing video game offer customization to your own ride - and it's the usual stuff. For example, what color paintjob is the car going to have, how many decals it has plastered all over the bodywork, does it have a huge spoiler on its trunk - these options have been opened up for the player to mess around with. Electronic Arts' Need for Speed ProStreet (PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS) does all that and goes even further - by allowing you to modify the shape of your car itself.
And before you ask, no, it's not just about the oodles of bodykits you'll be able to switch and swap onto your car - it's the specific parts of your car that you can mold to your exact specification, via the game's Auto Sculpting feature. What's so great about this is that the final shape of your car will factor into how fast it can go, i.e. it being aerodynamic enough to swiftly cut through the air to gain that extra edge. It's awesome on paper, and more awesome in practice in Need for Speed ProStreet. Check Auto Sculpting out, as well as the game's other customization features in the video below. Enjoy! Need for Speed ProStreet (PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PC) wants you to take your skills online, and we see the many ways you can make your mark on the interwebs in this video update of the game. Kick back and relax as we get up to speed with what could be one of the most intense racing experiences ever.
So, what sort of online modes are we talking about in Electronic Arts' Need for Speed ProStreet? The sort that not only lets you compete online, but also takes into consideration the bane of online gaming - time differences. Take for example the Shared Race Day feature. Players can create their own race days with their own events and specifications - and then other players can choose to participate in those race days even when the creator of that race day isn't online. All the scores and data are still tallied, so it's still a competition - just that it's more time difference-friendly than others. Certainly a good direction for the series to focus on the social aspect of online gaming. Enjoy the video!
