We've all had our moments of gamer rage -- times when we just want to break stuff due to frustration with out shared hobby of controlling moving pixels on a screen. One StarCraft fan, however, has been reported to have taken gamer rage to a whole new, more lethal level.

StarCraft 2 beta participant hopefuls, beware! Some phishing sites are reportedly taking advantage of having hordes upon hordes of wanna-be participants by offering fake StarCraft 2 beta keys or downloadable betas.

Finally, some real action from Blizzard's highly-anticipated StarCraft 2. It certainly looks like Blizz has got another hit in the palm of their hand. Check out the video after the jump.

Blizzard isn't budging, nor are they worrying over the incessant demand for them to bring back LAN to StarCraft II. Even Executive Vice President of game design Rob Pardo is not at all flustered by the gaining unpopularity of their decision to stick with Battle.net and leave LAN crying out in the corner. For him, it's "no big deal."

Last month, Destructoid's Jonathan Ross got to pay Blizzard a visit, and there he got to talk with the lead producer of StarCraft II, Chris Sigaty. Of course, hot on everyone's mind is their decision to remove LAN support from the game. "There's a lot of reasons," Sigaty said. The biggest reason? You'll have to get it after the jump.

Right before July, StarCraft fans launched an online petition asking Blizzard to bring LAN gameplay into StarCraft II after finding out that the publisher will not be incorporating the feature into the game in an attempt to prevent piracy. About a month later, the said online petition is now 100,000 signatures strong.

They cannot be rushed indeed, and all we can do is wait for Blizzard's next due masterpiece. The company has just confirmed the speculation that we won't be seeing StarCraft II within this year. You can find their official statement in the full article.

Blizzard is well known for their release policy of "it's done when it's done". Some people may balk at the open-endedness of this schedule, but really, with the high quality of products they are known to make, no one is in the position to complain or to dare challenge them to go faster -- not even Activision. But when StarCraft II does release, you can rest assured it's gonna be thoroughly polished, enough to earn Activision Blizzard as much as US$ 40 million in its opening quarter. Just ask the analysts.
