Planning a LAN party to celebrate the launch of StarCraft II (whenever that is)? You can still do that, but you'll all have to be connected to Battle.Net first. Blizzard has confirmed that the upcoming RTS game will not support LAN play to further build up Battle.Net as the multiplayer solution for their games. That, and to combat piracy.

The title says it all really. Hopefully we'll get in on the StarCraft II multiplayer action later this year. Check out the video after the jump..

Rumor-shot down time! Unfortunately, Battlefield Heroes will NOT be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, contrary to the reports that we've seen recently. No less than DICE executive producer Ben Cousins put this rumor to rest.

Battlefield 2 is still going, folks. EA/DICE has just rolled out Patch 1.50 Beta 2. Included in the new features list would be the addition of support for Windows Vista, Widescreen resolutions, and Novint Falcon controller.

This is definitely great news for all you Starcraft 2 aficionados out there! Word has it that the beta for the much-anticipated sequel to the world-renowned PC game will be coming this summer. The best part about this news? It's not a rumor as it came straight from Blizzard president, Mike Morhaime, himself.

The Dark Templars have arrived! ...And pretty much the entire StarCraft army of units as well. Blizzard has finally opened the opt-in StarCraft II beta sign-ups. Now you don't have to go to China any more!

Those who missed out on Firaxis and 2K Games' Sid Meier's Civilization IV the first time around will be getting another chance to get their copies of the game. Not only the base Civilization IV game, mind you, but also the game's three expansion packs.

Zerg ruuuuuush! Supposedly, beta tests for StarCraft II will be starting next month already... at least for China.

It seems that Blizzard has confirmed that StarCraft II will also be getting a Collector's Edition, just like almost every other big game release in the past couple of years.

This is my first proper look at Ubisoft's new RTS title, R.U.S.E. (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), and I gotta say, my interest has definitely been piqued. Maybe it's the way the voice-over guy says "...radio silence." Check out the vid after the jump.
