Tribal Trouble - Image 1Gone were the days when RTS games were all about three simple buttons: harvest, build, and attack. Gamers have to live in a world where competitive gameplay and high-spec RTS games are the current trends nowadays. However, indie game developer Oddlabs shows to us that we can still enjoy the simpler joys of (RTS) life with its humorous title for the PC, Tribal Trouble.  In the full article, you can check out QJ.NET's review on this simple yet very addicting RTS game.

Tribal TroublePublished and developed by Oddlabs, Tribal Trouble is a real-time strategy game which lets you take control over a tribe of Vikings and guide them as they explore tropical islands.

You can also opt to take on the role of an island native, wherein your task would then be to stop the Vikings from successfully invading your land. You can also choose to play against your computer or with fellow players online.

For those who wanna check out how Tribal Trouble plays out, we have great news for you because Oddlabs has just released an updated demo! The v1.3 demo will allow PC gamers everywhere to check out six tutorials, as well as single and multiplayer game modes on computer generated maps.

Here's a rundown of some of the demo's features:
  • Randomized starting positions: To avoid people taking advantage of the preset map feature in multiplayer, the starting positions have been randomized. The free quit time in the beginning of a match has also been raised to 2 minutes.
  • Size and appearance:Download size has been reduced significantly, making it faster and easier to access. The graphics has also been refreshed with a new menu and load screens.
  • Cheat codes: these make it possible for you to choose which units you want to use. You can find more info on the cheat mode at Oddlabs' website: http://oddlabs.com/blog/?p=56
  • Peon hiding: If the enemy has no buildings left, the remaining units will be revealed in the map mode.
  • Windows Vista compatibility: Tribal Trouble has been tested on the latest beta version of Windows Vista, so you can rest assured that Tribal Trouble will work even if you get the new Vista.
