Aside from the stunning visuals and famous tennis players set to appear in the game, the fun mini-games are among the features that users are looking forward to seeing in Sega's Virtua Tennis 3 (PSP, PC, Xbox360, PS3). Well of course the mini-games are just bonus treats as opposed to your serious ball-whacking, ace-hitting gameplay. But don't get too caught up in flaunting those tennis skills of yours just yet. Instead, take a break and get a fill of all the fun you'll be having with the Avalanche and Drum Topple mini-games!

In Avalanche, all you'll have to do is try and get all the fruits (yes, fruits) that roll your way whilst avoiding the big-ass tennis balls. As for Drum Topple, it'll test your precision skills to see whether you can accurately target the piled up drums and make them topple by hitting them at the right spots. Oh, just check out the videos and you'll see. *winks*

The Drum Topple trailer awaits after the jump!

Sega must be feeling a bit generous (no wait, make that a LOT) because they released a whole buncha screens for the PC version of their upcoming sports title, Virtua Tennis 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, PSP).

Release date? While the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are said to be scheduled for release Q2 2007, there's still no word or confirmation yet whether VT3 for the PSP and PC will be hitting stores around that same time. But for sports and tennis freaks out there, there's nothing stopping you from eagerly waiting for the game (and playing a bit of real-life tennis while waiting, perhaps?).

Anyhoo, you've seen the trailer and the 3D screenshots, which made a lot of heads turn. So how about a couple of 'em good-old still-life screens, eh? Whaddya say?

Tennis was never a QJ writer's strong suit, that's usually why I personally prefer ballroom dancing instead: no hassles with flying objects and the only people screaming are my partners, whose toes I step on repeatedly.

Of course, in this job, we don't always have that choice. We always have to watch our faces and keep training, because we never know when Maria Sharapova can slap us good with that mighty backhand of hers. Worse still, we never know when giant tennis balls are going to come racing down the halls, begging for someone to smite them with a racket.

Oh wait... did I say that out loud?

Anyway, here's the latest trailer for Sega's upcoming smash hit for the Xbox 360, PSP, PC, and PS3, Virtua Tennis 3. Enjoy the video, and be ready for its release in the Q2 of 2007.

VT3So we only have two new screenshots for Virtua Tennis 3. But so what? We're betting you this is one of the finest you'll ever see in a while. Oh, yeah. We're definitely feeling smug about that. And we're sure you're itching to know why.

Alright, we're gonna let you in on our little goodie bag. The images we have here are not your typical screenshots. Heck, they don't even come close, believe us. They are still images, although they look absolutely real, you can almost feel the sun burning on the skin of these tennis players. But what makes these screenshots absolutely rave-material is that they are actually look-around-o-vision Quicktime 3D screenshots. Okay, that's where you can actually rotate the image to be able to view it from all possible angles: up, down, left, right.

There. We've spilled the beans. And we're sure we've piqued your interest. So, if you don't want to be kept in suspense any longer, just click on the download link below, and see what all the fuss is all about.
