About two weeks back, we reported that Warhammer: Mark of Chaos was heading to the Xbox 360, according to the German ratings board USK. Well, today we finally got confirmation straight from Namco Bandai. But wait, there's more. The announcement also included Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March, an expansion for the PC version. First off, the Xbox 360 version of Warhammer will be called Warhammer: Battle March. According to the release, the console version will be sporting content from the PC version, with spanking new features, online play via Xbox Live, and intuitive controls. Warhammer: Battle March will be featuring six armies to choose from, as opposed to the original PC version's four. Army customization will be available so you'll be able to tell your soldiers apart from others, and you can also make your units as scary as possible to wreck havoc into your enemies' hearts. Players will also be able to control Hero and Champion units that progress as you play the game. Two control schemes will be available, one for the novice players while the other one is more advance. Online multiplayer on Xbox Live can support up to four players in two modes, head-to-head skirmishes or team-based war. Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March on the other hand will sport additional content for the PC version. The expansion's content will include new units for each army, online modes, and an original campaign. The number of armies are also expanded to six to include the Empire, Chaos, Skaven, High Elves, plus the new Dark Elf and Orcs & Goblins forces (same armies as the Xbox 360 version). Sound interesting? Before you start bouncing off the walls, note that Warhammer: Battle March and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos - Battle March are scheduled for release next year. We'll keep our eyes peeled for more info, so stay tuned. In the meantime, feel free to admire the screenshots for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions at the Full Article link. |

A listing on German ratings board Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) has revealed that Namco Bandai's Warhammer: Mark of Chaos will be heading to the Microsoft Xbox 360 video game console.Warhammer: Mark of Chaos is a real-time tactics title developed by Black Hole Entertainment and released late last year for Windows PCs. Gameplay is focused primarily on battle tactics, and the standard base-building, resource harvesting and unit production aspect of RTS titles is not present. The title will supposedly be published by Koch Media GmbH. Further details have yet to be revealed, but Warhammer: Mark of Chaos' release date has been rumored to be set for October of this year. An official confirmation of the game has also yet to be announced. |

The latest patch of Black Hole Entertainment's Warhammer: Mark of Chaos is out, and aside from a few fixes on a few added features regarding flanking, the bulk of it includes a lot of game balance changes. Among the added features include flanking and charge feedback. Also they've now made sure that you've got a list in the Multiplayer Lobby on which players are in a game. They've also fixed several crash, out of sync and other bugs during replays. I could really just list the changelog for you guys, but I won't. I'll just give you a link a post that did that already. It's nice to point out though that "Fists of Gork" still doesn't sound right. In fact, a lot of the names for the orc skills sound wrong. To download the patch, use the URL on our read-link below. |

Been having fun playing Warhammer: Mark of Chaos so far, haven't you? With large-scale battles wherein monsters and armies, and thousands of characters sprawling and brawling on the battlefield, we trust you won't be getting tired anytime soon. Naturally, Namco Bandai will not even risk having you guys get tired of the game, so they'll be releasing the v1.6 patch tomorrow which will add new features and fix whatever bugs and crashes you've been experiencing. Included in these new features is the addition of Flanking and Charge feedback, as well as an indicator in the Multiplayer Lobby of the list of players who are in a game. The patch will introduce a whole lot more changes so you might wanna stay tuned for that release tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are the patch notes for v1.6: Fixes:

Ports are everywhere. PSone to PSP ports, PS2 to Wii ports, PC to 360 ports... However, only rare does it happen that a game gets a tabletop to PC port. Strictly speaking, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos isn't a direct port of the tabletop version, but actually an entirely new experience. While the title has already been shipped to retailers, European and Australian gamers can now also download Black Hole Entertainment's game via the Gamer's Gate website. If you can't manage to hop over to your nearest retailer, why not simply download it? It's going to be all about battle tactics and warfare this time around, without having to focus on the whole hoopla of base-building and resource-gathering. Face it, some gamers would rather just get it on with the battle right away. Besides, if webcomic Ctrl+Alt+Del would rather play the PC "port" rather than the tabletop, then you can't deny a guy for wanting bloodshed without the meticulous fortress management. |

Namco Bandai today released a new trailer for their new RTS Warhammer: Mark of Chaos in anticipation of the PC game's November 14 release. Living up to the standards set by other games in the Warhammer series, Mark of Chaos focuses on sprawling battlefields between monstrous demons and vast customizable armies. Players will surely appreciate the grand sense of scale and detail in this game, with thousands of characters clashing against each other in large-scale epic battles. Mark of Chaos has a battle-centric real-time combat system that gives players total control over their army while de-emphasizing the often-tedious aspects of base and resource management. Buildable features and destructible terrains such as forests, swamps, plains and tundra change the shape of the battlefield and add a layer of strategy to provide players infinite replayability.
