I don't even know where to start. There's an anti-violence campaign in
Denmark right now - good for them. But someone had a stroke of
brilliance to make a Flash game for the movement where you slap women
across the face. Purpose defeated? Well, whoever it was, had another
stroke of brilliance, calling it
Hit The Bitch.

So how big has
Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) become? Well, you can forget about
Grand Theft Auto IV's
previous US$ 500 million video games record and Harry Potter And The
Half-Blood Prince's US$ 394 million five days post launch box office
record. According to the estimates of
Activision, the latest
installment of the Call of Duty franchise has so far generated $550
million worldwide in just five days to set an all-time entertainment
industry record, shattering all previous first-and five-day
entertainment industry box office, book and video game sell-through
records.

GameStop stirred up some controversy earlier this month when they broke the street date on
Modern Warfare 2 (
Xbox 360, PS3, and PC). The retailer owned up to the action, saying that it was done to protect their consumer base. It appears the consumer base needed a lot of protecting, now that they've broken the date on two more major releases:
Assassin's Creed II (
PS3, Xbox 360, and PC), and
Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC).
