Activision will definitely not be kind to those people who attempt to pirate their goose that's sure to lay golden eggs, Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). Last Thursday, Activision apparently spotted a high-profile offer posted on Craigslist for the said game. Not about to shrug it off, the publisher actually hired a private investigative firm to catch the seller.

And so the PC version of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) keeps getting caught up in major controversies. We're picking up word now that online retailers are refusing to stock up the game on their shelves because of Steam.

With just one week until the release of the most anticipated game of the year, Activision and Infinity Ward has released the official launch trailer of Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360).  The explosive trailer features huge gun fights, jaw dropping environments, spoilers and a little something to do in space, all to the tune of Eminem and Nate Dogg's "Till I Collapse." We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Just when we thought it couldn't generate any more hype than it already has (it is coming out really soon, after all), we were proven wrong. Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) is in another controversy yet again as gameplay footage depicting what appears to be a massacre - perpetrated by the player himself - got leaked recently. Activision breaks their silence and explains.

This report from Gamasutra should erase any and all doubts lingering in your minds about just how successful Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii) truly is. The three DLC packs that the game released digitally for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles "only" managed to push 6.5 million units between the months of March and Mid-August 2009. How's that for a big performer?

Just last week, we received word that there will be a midnight launch for Activision-Blizzard's Modern Warfare 2 (also on Xbox 360, PS3) on November 10. Unfortunately, while PC gamers are fully welcome to join in the party, they won't be going home with their copies of the game. Word has it that the PC version has been delayed.

We know that Infinity Ward and Activision have at least two map packs planned for Modern Warfare 2. Thanks to Monster Beverage Company, who has a deal with Activision to produce MW2-branded energy drinks, we now know when one of those are coming.
