Blizzard: Worldwide Invitational 2008 in Paris - Image 1If you're going to this year's Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, you have to take some time to look around the city. You must. It's just not the same if you go to Paris and all you can say is "We'll always have Blizzard." Leipzig Messe - Image 1Since its founding last 2002, the German Games Convention (aka GCDC) has often been equated to the city of Leipzig, and its Leipziger Messe convention center that successfully tended to the 183,000 visitors that came in during GCDC's recent stint in 2006.

And while we're still warming up to this year's upcoming event, there's speculation that come next year (2008), GCDC will be moving out of Leipzig into a new venue. We're not too sure about the details, but it seems that this came to light after several major exhibitors at the event stated that they were unhappy with Leipzig's location, which was described as being difficult to access due to the city's small airport.

That's all the details we have for now. Stick around in case this bit of speculation gets some rock-solid confirmation, or if we pick up word on where the new GCDC venue will be - the possibilities include the cities of Frankfurt and Cologne.
