Assassin's Creed II - Image 1This holiday, you will be seeing another game-inspired movie come out, but this time, not as a full-length feature, but rather as a short film series. The game that inspired the series: Assassin's Creed II: Lineage (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). Yep, Ezio's yet to make his rounds in the consoles, and already, he's got his eyes set on Hollywood. This boy sure wastes no time dealing with business.

Yoshinori Ono - Image 1It's become a classic he said-he said. Pitted against each other are the movie prod's claim that the Street Fighter movie will be coming out on March 2009 in a simultaneous launch with the SFIV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) games. Ono-san, however, says he does not know of any simultaneous release. Confused much? Yeah, we are too. Good thing he also talks about parrying and a lot of other things.

Iron Man as seen in the Marvel Comics Civil War series - Image 1When you've got a powerful suit of armor, what do you with it? Why, you use it, of course. In the case of the Iron Man video game, that would mean using it against tanks, missiles, fighter jets and what not. Sega's captured it on video, too. Turn to the full article after the jump for some high-flying armored action.

Capcom's boxing ring arena - Image 1

Capcom's appearance at Comic-con 2007 in San Diego should prove to be a much bigger event than what this giant company did at E3. In a booth that features open gaming stations, attendees will be able to get their hands on Zack & Wiki, Harvey Birdman, Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man ZX Advent, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Rocketmen and Moto GP. An Ace Attorney game will also be playable, but we're not certain which iteration of Phoenix Wright it'll be.

The most noteworthy of all, of course, are playable demos of Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. That's right, E3 this year never had that much of a privilege to serve the hottest games coming under Capcom's belt.

As if gamers attending Comic-con weren't lucky enough, the Capcom store will also feature plenty of games at discount prices and merchandise up for grabs. Here are some that you can expect to find:
  • a new Street Fighter shirt produced exclusively for Comicon
  • Udon’s rare hardcover Art of Capcom book
  • exclusive Comicon Japanese merchandise
Comic-con will open its doors come July 25, and will last 'til the 29th, so don't forget to head over Capcom's booth 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. We've seen the list of events, and we're sure fans will love it. For now, check out these shots. You can also see the boxing ring arena above.

Turner Broadcasting System has finally debuted the New Lara Croft series "ReVisioned!" Every week starting today till August 23, GameTap.com will be hosting the new series for free.

Keys to the Kingdom - Image 1

Starring Minnie Driver as the voice of Lara Croft, "ReVisioned" is part of the 10th year anniversary celebration of the first Tomb Raider game. Various artists will be giving their own visions of our heroine, who include Jim Lee (Batman: Hush), Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan), Peter Chung (Aeon Flux), Gail Simone (Wonder Woman), Brian Pulido (Lady Death).

Michael Stackpole, Ivan Reis, Cully Hamner, Christos N. Gage, Louie Del Carmen, David Alvarez, and Six Point Harness are those lined up to provide their "ReVisioned" versions of Lady Croft. "Keys to the Kingdom" by Peter Chung is already up on the site.

Some of the artists will be attending the 2007 Comic-Con International in San Diego on July 28 to provide a forum and a behind-the-scenes look for fans. GameTap also pulled in special guests to sign autographs like Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada, Darwyn Cooke (The Spirit), and Kevin Eastman (co-creator, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.)

The first season will be ReVisioning Tomb Raider with each new season featuring different gaming series from GameTap. It would be cool to see Ryu and the gang from Street Fighter being rendered by different artists. Check out the Read link below for Lara's first adventure in ReVisioned!
